10 reviews for The Merchant of Venice : Shakespeares Greatest Stories For Children (Abridged and Illustrated)

  1. Tanishq Gupta

A decent attempt at simplifying a complex play. Some of the themes are still a bit heavy for children, but the illustrations are well done and engaging.

  2. Mohd Afzal Ansari

Beautifully illustrated and easy to understand. My son loved the characters and followed the story well. A great way to spark an interest in classic literature.

  3. Akshita Prajapati

The story was easy to follow, and the illustrations were beautiful. My kid enjoyed it, but I wish they’d kept a little more of Shakespeare’s original language.

  4. Suman Pal

My daughter enjoyed the story and the pictures kept her engaged. I appreciate the effort to make Shakespeare accessible, but it felt a little dumbed down at times.

  5. Kumar Kartikey

A nice abridged version that held my child’s attention. I do think the themes are a little mature, but it sparked some good conversation. Illustrations were appealing.

  6. Anubhav Pandey

Wonderful way to introduce Shakespeare! Engaging illustrations brought the story to life. It’s sparked a real interest in my child. Highly recommend!

  7. Mayank Kumar Singh

This is a fantastic adaptation! The illustrations are gorgeous and the story is easy to understand. My kids thoroughly enjoyed it.

  8. Rudhra Maurya

While the story is simplified, the essence of the original remains. The illustrations are great, but some of the language might still be challenging for younger children.

  9. Sasi Priyatham Sadanala

My child found it a bit boring. While the illustrations are nice, the story didn’t quite capture their attention. Perhaps better for older children.

  10. Kratika Tyagi

A good introduction to Shakespeare for kids! The illustrations are lovely, but some of the plot points were still a bit complex for my -year-old. Overall, a decent adaptation.
