8 reviews for Collected Short Stories: Volume 2

  1. Digvijay Singh Panwar

Maugham at his finest! Such great short stories. Some stories are okay, but they never get boring. I would recommend.

  2. Jitender Khatri

An interesting collection, but uneven. The writing is beautiful, but some of the stories are predictable. Still, there are some great reads.

  3. Damanpreet Singh

I was expecting more. While Maugham’s talent is evident, this volume didn’t captivate me as much as his novels. Good, not great.

  4. Tannu Rani

Some stories were superb, especially “Flotsam and Jetsam.” Others were just okay. Worth checking out if you’re a Maugham fan.

  5. Bharat Jaggi

Loved the variety of settings! Maugham paints vivid pictures. “The Vessel of Wrath” was a standout. A few stories dragged, but overall enjoyable.

  6. Daksh Dagar

A fascinating glimpse into different cultures and human relationships. Maugham’s insights are timeless. I enjoyed most of the stories.

  7. Aseem Goel

Maugham’s writing is always a pleasure. This collection has some real gems. Though some stories feels dated, but it’s still a good book.

  8. Piyush Raj

A mixed bag. Some stories were brilliant, others fell flat. Maugham’s observations are sharp, but the pacing felt inconsistent. Worth a read, but not his best.
