Abhishek Gupta –
Visually stunning and intellectually stimulating. Dante’s journey is epic. It may require some background reading, but it’s an amazing book!
Sharayu Hitesh Vyavahare –
A decent edition, but not my favorite translation. Some of the language felt clunky. The explanations were helpful for understanding the poem. Mixed feeling here!
Mayank Nilesh Limaye –
This version made ‘Inferno’ understandable! Some parts were disturbing. The notes helped a lot, but the verse can be tough to follow. Still a must-read, though.
Naman Gupta –
MacLachlan and Lewis did a great job! The translation flows well, and the intro is insightful. It is dense, be prepared to take your time with it. I recommend it.
Prachi Charde –
A classic! This edition is well-annotated, making Dante accessible. Though, at times, the allegories felt a bit heavy-handed. Overall, a rewarding read.
Sai Chander P. –
Complicated but worth the effort. This edition breaks it down nicely. Not an easy read but I found it to be a fulfilling exploration of morality and spirituality.
Shambhu –
I struggled to get through it. While the historical context was interesting, the pacing felt slow. I wish it was more engaging, but a good resource for students, though.
Vatsala Goyal –
The Divine Comedy is a masterpiece! The journey is powerful. Some descriptions were a bit much for me, but the book is amazing, and I’ll reread it soon!
