11 reviews for Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Hard Luck (Book 8)

  1. Kumar Rohit

This one wasn’t my favorite in the series. Greg seemed extra whiny. Still had some funny moments, but not as strong as the earlier books.

  2. Sara Negi

We love reading these together as a family. It sparks good conversation. The illustrations are great and add to the humor.

  3. Prazzwal Arjun Singh

My son loves these books! He devoured this one in a day. Good for reluctant readers. The humor is a little childish for me, but he enjoys it.

  4. Vaibhav Kumar

It was okay. I’ve read better Wimpy Kid books. It felt a bit repetitive and predictable. Still, it was a quick, lighthearted read.

  5. Animesh Priyadarshan

My daughter enjoyed it, but said it wasn’t the best in the series. She still laughed a lot, so it’s a decent addition.

  6. Hriyam Dutta

Kept my kid entertained for hours! Anything that gets them reading is a win in my book. Silly humor, but harmless.

  7. Yash Garg

Greg’s antics are always amusing. This one had some laugh-out-loud moments. Great for a quick and easy read.

  8. Shreya Paul

A fun read! It has great illustration that adds to the story. It also teaches about friendship. It also shares that its okay to have bad luck.

  9. Nakul

My son couldn’t put it down. He thought it was hilarious. Worth the money to keep him entertained and reading!

  10. Shabbir Ahmed

The ‘hard luck’ theme resonated with my middle schooler. It’s relatable and funny, though some situations are a bit over the top.

  11. Parvez Khalek

Another Wimpy Kid adventure! Greg’s hard luck streak is hilarious, but sometimes I feel bad for him. Still a fun read for kids.
