‘Small Craft Warnings’ felt a little disjointed, but ‘Suddenly Last Summer’ made up for it. Overall, a decent introduction to Williams’ work.
Yasmeen Bano –
The first play was disturbing, in a good way. The other two plays didn’t grab me as much. Overall, a mixed bag, but still a worthwhile read.
Ritik Kumar –
A powerful collection of plays! Williams masterfully explores complex characters and their hidden desires. Highly recommended for anyone interested in classic American drama.
Ankur Kumar –
Loved the exploration of societal outcasts. Williams has such a way with words and create such sympathetic understanding of difficult characters.
Harsh Mewara –
The language is beautiful, but I found ‘The Milk Train’ a bit slow. ‘Suddenly Last Summer’ is definitely the standout play in this collection.
Vashisth Kumar Singh –
Not my favorite collection of Williams’ plays, but still worth reading for ‘Suddenly Last Summer.’ The others felt a bit dated to me. The first play is absolutely brilliant, the others failed to impress.
Princi Rai –
A must-read for any theater enthusiast. The characters are complex and the stories are gripping. Williams truly was a master playwright. A true genious
Surya Kant Vashisht –
I enjoyed the themes explored in these plays, but the language was sometimes difficult to follow. A good challenge for any reader interested in classic literature. Be ready to put the work in.
Aditi Raizada –
Tennessee Williams at his best! ‘Suddenly Last Summer’ is haunting, though the other plays didn’t quite resonate as much. Still a worthwhile read for drama lovers.
