An okay read. I learned some new things, but wasn’t blown away. It’s not terrible, but don’t expect to be on the edge of your seat.

I was captivated by the descriptions of the coronation! However, Waugh’s tone occasionally felt condescending. A mixed bag, but worth reading.

A fascinating glimpse into a bygone era. Waugh’s writing is sharp, but sometimes feels a bit detached. Still, a worthwhile read for history buffs.
