  1. Devansh Gupta

Coghill’s translation makes Chaucer accessible! Some tales shone brighter than others, but overall, a delightful read.

  2. Tarun

Chaucer’s wit shines through! Coghill did a great job. The footnotes were really helpful in understanding context.

  3. Aman Kumawat

A brilliant introduction to Chaucer. The language is updated, but some of the humor felt a bit lost in translation.

  4. Shikhar Pratap

Found this edition easy to understand. Some of the religious allegories were hard to follow. Worth a read, though.

  5. Sahil Chahal

An enjoyable journey through medieval England. Coghill’s verse is engaging, though purists may prefer the original.

  6. Aryan Chouhan

A mixed bag. Some stories captivated me, others bored me. A good introduction, but not perfect. Worth exploring if you enjoy poetry.

  7. Siddharth Gaur

Really enjoyed reading it! The poems were very well written, even though i had to read it twice to fully understand it!

  8. Tanisha Gupta

Loved the diverse characters and stories! A few tales dragged, but the Wife of Bath’s was fantastic. A great classic!
