   Not as good as the first book. The romance felt forced, and the plot dragged in places. However, the action scenes were exciting and kept me engaged. I wish the characters were more mature.

    Lord of Shadows had me hooked! Emma and Julian’s relationship is so complex, and the plot twists kept me guessing. Some parts felt a little slow, but overall a great read.
