Also, I need to literally thank E. L. Massey and Nine Star Press for bringing this book out into the world because I loved it so much. I love Eli and Alex. There are a lot of tough moments throughout this story and Eli and Alex both go through a lot over the course of this story but it's all done so well and I loved it. Eli especially has to change his entire worldview after an incident and it was heartbreaking but still so nice to see him adjust and grow. I also loved the fact that Eli and Alex are both better for their relationship and their love for each other, they stop each other from spiralling into self-destructive behaviours and it was heartwarming to see. They also have a fight in this one, but literally, these two have the most wholesome and healthy relationship anyone has ever had with another person. The way they go about fixing the problem is, in one word, ingenious. I have loved this story and this couple so much. For the last forty-eight hours, I have been living in Alex and Eli's world and it's been utterly delightful. Also, I really love the side characters, Cody, Jeff, Kuzy, Rushy, James, Matts, Rads and Jessica. Literally, I love the Hell Hounds, the team and the staff we have gotten to meet. My biggest complaint is how short this book is. Also, objectively I know I liked this book less than the previous one but I don't know if that means this shouldn't be a five-star read because I loved it but in the back of my mind there is a voice going but not as much as the first one. I literally can't think of one bad thing about this book but just comparing it with the first one makes me feel like if that's a five-star read then this can't be or can it… I'm confused but I loved it and frankly, if there was no comparison there is literally no reason this book wouldn't be a five-star read. So, that's what it's getting! Also, can't wait to read the sequel (imagine I said that while squealing because I did)!
