I was completely intrigued by the facts and knowledge about the 27 nakshatras and the deities, rishis, and planets associated with them. It was even more fun reading along with my mom and dad. We were reading each other's nakshatras and about how it connected to our characters. My mom explained the stories to me in tamil which was even more fun. I can't wait to read this book for my niece. Loved how the author connected the stories of deities and their characters to the nakshatras. I'm so happy this is my first read of 2026. One person found this helpful Helpful Report Priya Singh 5.0 out of 5 stars Readers who love reading about night sky and stars …must read 💫🙂💫 Reviewed in India on 29 December 2025 Format: Paperback The book Starstruck takes us on a similar imaginative journey where we learn about the 27 nakshatras. These 27 nakshatras come together to form clusters, which create different patterns in the sky. Not only that, these stars also give clues about a person’s nature, personality, skills, behaviour, and the ups and downs of life. I had heard and read many stories about gods and goddesses before, but I didn’t know that they were also connected to stars and nakshatras. Each nakshatra is not just a pattern in the sky it is a celestial character with its own myths and stories. The book also explains how the movement of these nakshatras is connected to the moon and cosmic forces. You will learn why stars appear in different shapes and which deity is associated with which nakshatra by reading this book. I especially enjoyed reading about Bharani Nakshatra (the story of Yama Devta), Ardra nakhshatra, Shatabhisha nakshatra, Abhijit (a secret nakshatra), and Svana (the Dog Star) and the stories behind them. Overall, this book is a creative retelling of celestial mythology. Young readers as well as adults who enjoy learning about stars and their stories will truly enjoy it. If you are fascinated by Indian mythology, the night sky, and stories that explore the universe, this book is definitely worth reading 2 people found this helpful Helpful Report Ishhreads 5.0 out of 5 stars A perfect read for someone who loves Astrology things Reviewed in India on 24 December 2025 Format: Paperback Starstruck – Rachna Chhabria I’ve already read Rachna Chhabria’s other book, Banku’s Terrific Tails, and it’s my absolute favorite. My niece loves it too—even at just 10 months old, she enjoys seeing the pictures, though only through video calls! I was really looking forward to Starstruck, especially because I’m fascinated by stars, sun signs, and moon signs. I always notice differences between our sun and lunar signs, though I usually relate to just one. I was born under Magha, so that’s the sign I identify with. When the book arrived and immediately connected to my star sign, I was thrilled—it fit so perfectly! The story of Jaratkaru was beautiful and entirely new to me. Every sign has its unique characteristics and personalities. I also got to know about Abhijeet Nakshatra two years ago—a hidden star, kept secret by Lord Krishna. It’s called a “full victory” star. There are nine gods, each with three nakshatras revolving around them. I genuinely believe in these things—call me old-school or an old soul—but that doesn’t mean I believe everything; some points I don’t fully agree with. There’s even a saying that one shouldn’t be named after the star they were born under—for example, someone born under Rohini shouldn’t be named Rohini, as it may be align with stars high and lows. The cover and illustrations are fabulous. The author has wonderfully detailed the stories in such a beautiful and engaging way. If you love reading or hearing about interesting cosmic things, this book is a must-read. Go ahead without a doubt!
